Inspiration Reflections, cast shadows, what is held by the viewer, the uncertainty of our own visual interpretations of these also feature in Dawn's approach to her work. Dawn continually explores balance and rhythms and is fascinated by the illusions created by parallax. Although the History of the Native American Indians and their craft continue to inspire, recent work has been exploring the rhythms and patterns produced by the continual journey of water, oceans, rivers and waterways. Much of Dawn's work is based on a feeling, an impression or sense which evokes the imagery she uses to create fluid surfaces. Current work explores the Bullfight, the illusion, mystery and splendour that surrounds the age old ritual. Dawn's work is for interior spaces, creating freestanding structures and wall pieces, moveable screens which slide and overlap to create new images and rhythms. Division of space, not solid, but transitional, new vistas created by each individual as they move around each piece continue to be her goals.
